As peepintom said we are pratically american owned. Some of there government agencies are already operating in Canada. (eg CIA , DEA ). I would strongly oppose the unification, the US will be enforcing the draft soon. I am sure we don`t want our sons and daughters fighting in Iraq for WHAT. Oh yeah the liberation of the Iraqi people.

All those who hate the US I bet just couldn't wait to say they would die keeping the Yanks out. These are the same people of course who likely say the Canadian Armed Forces don't need new equipment, don't need to be expanded or don't have to be prepared to fight, so I would imagine it would be a matter of marching of the 10 Mtn Div. out of Fort Drum near Watertown to head to Ottawa since we have no one to stop them!.

Please...this is silly. Ask Kirk said back there, they dont' want us since it would be giving the Democrats a whole new life. Furthermore, As much as I admire some things about America, I am Canadian, and proud of what my nation was and is. I was a hell of a lot more proud when we didn't sound like a bunch of left wing whining do gooders who tell everyone else around the world how they should be doing things. I think this is why America gets peeved with Canada. It isn't that we disagree, it is we call their President a Moron, the country a bunch of bastards and then say "the Americans will protect us, they have to right?" We want respect, the least we could do is try to show that we are making attempts to garner that respect.

I answered that I couldn't care less on the Poll because YOU and I know perfectly that Canada will NEVER accept to be a Part of the USA.
They have shed so much Blood to gain their Freedom that it would be inconceivable to me that they would accept such a thing.

First of all you don't have to hate the US to disagree with them. Second, no amount of money spent on our military would stop the US from marching into Ottawa - our only defense would be to stand Celine Dion on the front lines. And lastly, the name calling has been done by both sides political leadership and while Martin seems to reaching out, some members of the Bush administration has already made some dumbass cracks about him. The breakdown of our relationship has as much to do with the US political leadership. As for telling the world what to do, where and how?

At least the USA sits up and takes notice of Canada when we beat them at hockey, like Toronto did tonight. And then there are the Canadiens, loosing 4 straight. I hope to forget that record and hope the US does also.
