Of course I played the D&D. Started with first ed AD&D. Managed to score all the box set basic eds but never played them.
Vaguely recall Rifts, never played.
Prefer Hero System over D&D. Didn't like the cost progression point system of GURPS and it seems neither did they as they switched to the one to one system of Hero.
Twilight 2000, Tail end of WWIII Poland was my favorite.
Call of Cthulhu, sadly you need a good DM to make it work, good for me, we had one.
I had a few sets of dice [d4,6,8,10,12,20] but when I bought my demonic dice [black with red lettering] I kept with those. Twilight and especially Hero called for much more D6s so I raided the boxed games we had.
I figured I was never going to play again about 10 years ago. Couldn't give it away. Managed to sell all the D&D stuff for 25 bucks and then found out I could of sold it on Ebay for about a grand. Made mad cash selling the rest of the stuff back when the cdn dollar was 66 cents. Mythic Egypt [ICE for Hero] for over 60 bucks. Some Blood Bowl figures for 100 US.
Sigh. I miss it, it would be nice to have friends again. Back in the day it was hard enough to find a group, never mind a DM who was any good and willing. Today, where I am to, forget about it. In the past I found games via answering an ad put up by someone in a hobby store which sold the stuff [the local comic book store does not even stock the books], or the roleplaying group at the university of which there are none in town. Never mind that I figure all that psudo roleplaying games on computer has probably made a smoking crater of the face to face real roleplaying.
