Calls are coming from
dare I say. Oh well, India and Pakistan.
Microsoft will never call you!
They claim that they are an agent doing the repairs for microsoft and that your computer has infected over 1000 others. I get these fake calls bi-weekly from different fake companies and here is what I've done.
1. Let them go through the pitch and when they ask for permission to take over your computer, say no and blow your FOX40 whistle into their ears.
2. Before allowing them access ask to speak with a supervisor or the accounts department, when you're told how much the fake programs are, blow the whistle in their ear. Blow twice, maybe they'll get the message.
One time as the caller was going through the pitch, I could a bunch of other voices talking gibberish in the background. The caller at one point belched in my ear. Guess, he got 3 whistles in the ear.
Microsoft has stated, no one will contact you from microsoft.
