So Gents - gonna hit the links in Cabot this summer (July 2022) and was wondering any recommendations for a solid SP while I am there. I am hoping that the Ms @Berlin Moss is touring in Nova Scotia during that time but just in case she isn't would love to hear for the group of any recommendations. Looking forward to the golf as well as this trip has been postponed twice because of the pandemic. From the golfer that I hear from - this is a bucket list of a course and must be played if you enjoy the game.

Hopefully with my face in a pussy
Can't speak to the women or the golf, but I was in the area last year. You're not far from the Glenora distillery, I wasn't keen on their Scotch when I first drank it, but that was years ago, just after they started, might have worked itself in by now. I presume you're staying in Inverness? Some good restaurants there, I enjoyed the fish and chips at Whit's, or maybe Whitt's, can't remember if there is one or two ts. The stout at Route 19 brewery is flavourful, and comes complete with an 8% kick. I've heard that the fishing is good on Lake Ainslie, but not sure if it's good enough to splurge on a license.

EDIT: Whit's

# 11 in Golf Digests top 100 courses in the world.

CABOT CLIFFS
Inverness, Nova Scotia, Canada
Bill Coore, Ben Crenshaw (2015)
6,765 yards, par 72
Another sensational Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw design, Cabot Cliffs overflows with variety with its southernmost holes in Lahinch-like sand dunes, its northernmost atop Pebble Beach-type ocean cliffs and bits of pine-lined Scottish highlands in between. The course has six par 5s, including three in the space of four holes, and six par 3s, plus an additional one-shot bye-hole aside the fourth. Sporting the same fescue turf mix as nearby sister course Cabot Links (ranked T-35), some tee shots seem to roll forever, but so do errant shots that miss greens. The cliff-edged par-3 16th is quickly becoming one of the game's most photographed holes.

Thanks mate for the distillery - didn't even know that was out there - now the golf and food/drinks is taken care of - only one thing missing......I have plenty of time to secure a outcall.

Yes, Halifax is the best spot for a quick visit with a special lady. Have a great fun safe great trip. East coast people are fantastic. Make sure to have a couple of lobster dinners too. Go to smaller places for the best feed if fresh seafood. Check out the Shore club outside Halifax for a meal. Awesome place

Played golf both in PEI and Nova Scotia many years ago. Best IMO, Crowbush Cove, Dundarave, Brudenell in PEI. In Nova Scotia, Highland Links which was designed by Stanley Thomson and was the No. 1 course in Canada for many years. This was way before Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links. Wish I could go back and play them. Too Old, I'm afraid.

Crowbush is on the list mate as well, probably in a few years - but so looking forward towards this trip.

Thanks Gents for all the great info - much appreciated it.

I had never been out East, so about 10 years ago I did a trip with my boys.

We took a train to Moncton (the end of the line) and then drove to PEI. We stayed at Brudenell and also played Dundarave and Crowbush.

Great trip. Golf and lobster.

If you have a chance, Take a drive up the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, one of the most scenic sites in Canada, and if you can , stay at the Keltic Lodge in Ingonish and play the Highland Links Course. IMO, this is the most scenic drive next to the Follow The Sun Road out west on the USA, BC border.
