Looking for a small ragtop toy on kijiji and trader. I have been using Traders nationwide search function for the various makes and models, and this has shown a significant range of asking prices for any given model. What intrigues me is that without fail, the cheapest cars always appear to be in Quebec What's the deal with that, and is buying a car from Quebec risky business still, due to their re-build laws for crashed vehicles???

If I were able to find a deal where I could save a couple of grand on purchase price, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a one way ticket to wherever in canada, then do a vacation road trip home. The Quebec situation remains a mystery however and leaves me sceptical. Any insights??

might be a tad late but avoid buying a used vehicle in Quebec, lots of scams happening here apparently, from kilometer roll backs to selling rebuilt vehicles...... btw thanks for all your ottawa recommendations, enroute this weekend :)

You have to consider that Quebec's economy is less robust than Ontario's. Their cost of living is lower, rent, SP's, etc., so cars can also be cheaper there.
