What is the place actually worth based on sales history? The asking price could be realistic and the seller got annoyed that you would be expecting such a discount, or the asking price could be just someone’s wet dream.

Why did the seller not sign back? Was it the price that bothered the seller, or was it some other issue? Best don't take things personally as there could be many complicating issues on the seller’s side.

Well, I did ask for 5% lower than the asking price. There are about six identical units for sale in the building, same size etc. All of them have been in the market between 35 and 50 days. No movement. I don't think asking 95% of the asking price is bad or too low. I feel that the asking price is over the market value. The person could have signed something back as a good guesture or something. That's to bad for him. I've lost interest. There are hundreds of condos for sale in the area. To bad so sad. I feel that if the asking price was market or a good value, why is it still on the market and not sold in a few days. Why are they still on the market after 45 to 50 days?
