That's exactly what I'm going to have for dinner tonight now. The other day I actually found a frozen entree (microwave) at the supermarket. :biggrin1:

Anyway, my recommendation for great butter chicken is Makkah Restaurant on Danforth very close to Donlands subway. Other place is Moti Mahal on Gerrard Street East just west of Coxwell in Little India.

The other day I found a butter chicken sauce at Loblaws. Lets just say it didn't taste even close to the real thing.

Pataks makes a Butter Chicken sauce that is good, but doesn't come close to what you get in a restaurant. I love Indian food and from time to time prepare 4 or 5 dishes for a real feast. But it gets really complicated doing so many dishes, so when it comes to Butter Chicken, I go with Pataks and then do a dal from scratch along with one or two other dishes. But I think I will try Butter Chicken from scratch and see if I can come close to the restaurant version.

Let me know how it turns out. May need to get the recipe.

North of Bombay in the Junction... (On the north side of Dundas between Pacifc and High Park).

Hands down the best Butter Chicken out there..

I've been to Dhaba, Little India, Chutneys, and I tell you NONE of them can hold a candle to North of Bombay.

Just remember to ask for it to be "hot" (as in spicy). The mild is tasty, but the hot is where it's at.
