Just heard that Butch Bouchard (father of Pierre) has passed at the age of 92. I think he is the last of the WW II Montreal Canadiens. Did you know that the English Canadien players klike Kenny Reardon wore the uniform of the Canadian military and fought in WW II, while the Quebecois Canadien players continue to play hockey and work at Molson's during their off ice hours?

Classy touch, adding that tidbit.

Apparently only part of the truth as some of the Habs, served in the military, but you weren't aware of it.
I thought it worthwhile to mention it once, not to create a controversy. Butch Bouchard and Rocket Richard did not serve. Also, the Rocket scored his 50 goals in a year when the best English Canadian players were fighting Nazis.

Nice try. 'Nuff said.
