Seriously, if George's handlers are trying this they're idiots. Hearing someone talk in your ear, and trying to speak at the same time, requires a fair amount of mental multi-tasking; something I doubt dubya is capable of. They'd be far better off if they just taught him a few good lines, and got him to stop looking like he can't wait for the recess bell to ring.

You're right, Bush not going to church is funny - in a sad "how could people be so gullible" sort of way. As far as the earpiece, this theory started as much from Bush's bizarre "Let me finish" snarky comment when he was only 1/2 way through his alotted time on one answer, as it did from anything else. The theory, i suppose, is that he got confused and actually was responding to someone talking in his ear. Now THAT would be funny.
