Staal
Pronger

I'd go with young studs. Pronger's not so young but he brings defense, offense, lots of minutes and nastiness to the table as well as some veteran leadership.

Brodeur may be a bit better right now but Luongo's gonna be around a lot longer at this point.

Or maybe, Raycroft, Belak and Antropov.

Thornton he's championship proven, even w/o a stanley cup- still early in his career, big, strong, and able to make average players around him into superstars.

Niedermayer in today's game he is even more valuable for his smooth skating and puckhandling ability. Had Paul Coffey been 20 years younger, he'd be my pick for defense in today's game.

Kipprusoff over a whole season, the save%age is the most important stat. considering he's ended the whole season as 3rd in save%age with the most games out of the top 8- that puts him up at the top as #1 overall goalie that is proven to be consistent over a very, very long time.
