Absolutely! If Bud Light wanted to pick a transwoman, there were SO SO MANY more to choose from instead of woman-face Mulvaney. Why not Blair White? Oops, wrong politics for their marketing department but definitely the right politics for their demographic.

It's much much less a 'trans' issue than Marketing fucking up and choosing the wrong person. It's like choosing George Stroumboulopoulos for Hockey Night in Canada. Really, WTF?

This is actually due to pure greed, which caused pure stupidity.

They alienated their largest demographic to try and court a new demographic. Just imagine if Bud Light tried to pander to women by alienating its male customers. This is even dumber than that......

They had been losing market share for years.
Mostly because younger people weren't interested.
So they made a play for the new demographic because their current demographic was shrinking and not being replaced.

They bet wrong, but I understand why they made the gamble.
