Which brand of multivitamin can you recommend?

I've been taking One-A-Day by Bayer for about a month now and it's giving me an upset stomach within 5-10 minutes each and every time I take it. And yes, I normally take it with food (not on an empty stomach). This is supposed to be one of the best and well-liked brand name too, it's not some cheap knockoff. It's just too bad my stomach just doesn't agree with it for some reason :(

I've been meaning to switch to another brand but I'm not sure which ones to choose.

Had the same problem, my doctor told me it's the iron that upsets some people's stomachs. I now take Centrum multivitamins.
Oddly enough, there's no iron listed on the label of ones I'm taking. It must be a similar ingredient in the formulation that's doing it to me.

I take Jamieson "Power - Vitamins for Men" 3 a day with meals, no problems with stomach aches or any noticable side effects

Brands are not that important, but rather that you take what you really need
and not what buzzwords suggest. In order to make yourself resistant to marketing buzzwords, refresh your knowledge on nutrition and vitamins.

Here is a capsule knowledge of what you must know: There are vitamins soluble in fat and vitamins soluble in water. Water-soluble are flushed from the body within hours, fat soluble remain in the body. For that reason YOU MUST NOT exceed the recommended daily dosage of A-D-E-K vitamins (fat soluble) while you can take much larger quantities of B complex and C vitamins.

Iron in the multivitamin tablets is mostly marketing gimmick, because body
can not absorb that iron at all. If your body needs iron, you must take it in the form of chelated iron.

One a Day for men does not have iron because iron is suspected to cause heart related ailments in men over middle age.

NSI Synergy and LEF are 2 of the best.

Flintstones Vitamins are pretty good.
Joke right?

I saw a demo my friend did, and he put 25 brands of vitamins in the oven. Flinstones turned charcoal black. Well they bubbled first then turn black. Explanation was there was too much sugar in them, and when heated, the sugar bubbles, and turns to carbon when heated. They were a few dark brown, and a couple light brown, but most he said were garbage.

It is best to use the vitamin that supplements specifically for you.
As Sprag commented on, gender specific vitamins are more appropriate.
Lycopene which is linked in helping men with prostate cancer is found in a men's vitamin by Centrum.

Centrum are synthetic, so you won't get any actual nutrient value.

I get all my vitamins from what I eat. Red meat, vegies, potatos and pussy. Most of the vitamins are in the pussy. I also like tossed salad, get your minerals there.

The nutrients are all listed.
Price is around $11-12 for 80-100....and are just as good as Vitamins costing 10 times the price!
There are a lot of scams in this field, so be careful who you listen to!!
If in any doubt, consult your Pharmacist or Doctor.

I'm quite aware of the excessiveness of antioxidents such as A and E. In fact, my #1 criterion now is to find a multivitamin that contains no more than 4,000 IU of vitamin A as it has been linked to weak bones at excessive levels and as you've said, the fat-soluble ones tend to accumulate over time.

Never heard of this before, but now I'll do some searches and see what I can dig up on it before buying it. I liked the "high quality" part though. Thanks.
