Lady at 9:48 has a good point.
Big shout out to the 7/11 on Main St and the junkies that leech off the Church next door. 🤣

No offence to those junkies, but they don't work or contribute to society. They are part of the problem.

I also saw that Markham has a higher rate if immigrants leaving there then Brampton does. I wonder why Brampton gets the bad rep for immigration if their is another city that actually has more.
Because Markham is more upscale.

That is a YouTube channel with an agenda, presenting cherry picked interviews of some really old people who had something to say. That said, I agree that while ethnic enclaves are a problem and I myself refuse to move to cities like Brampton for that reason (I did not come to Canada to live in little India after all), how would the good folks of the lighter coloured areas (majority white) below, feel about a few Indians, Pakistanis, Africans and Middle Eastern people moving in, so that it is not a white ethnic enclave? Do you think they would be accepting and would these minorities feel at home and welcomed? What do you think?

Kautilya you fail to realize that people feel more comfortable with people from within their own culture. I mean its a nice novelty to try indian cuisine or cricket sometime but would i want to live in a neighborhood full of brown people just off the boat from India that dont like hockey? Hell no. That is what Brampton is for.

Well, that is what I was getting at too. You answered for me. People like social security and familiarity especially in a new country and thats how ethnic enclaves form. I am a bit different. I like the discomfort of being out of place lol. I like it when no one is interested in cricket and I can show them cricket, or they can show me hockey or whatever. I find it refreshing to learn a new culture and customs. But most people like the familiarity of their own people and culture. So why complain about Brampton because they are doing the same things which you said you'd do. lol.

The thing is, These cities Markham and Brampton used to be Majority White, I've seen Markham transformed from Majority White to now Majority Chinese and Indian...the good folks of the lighter colored areas were very accepting...I grew up, shoveling snow for old white folks Heck I love the winter jobs and summer hustle getting paid and getting free snacks helping landscaping jobs....I've never experienced racism in Markham....I h ad a mixed bag of friends but mostly Sri Lankans the last 3 years before moving to Ajax....also a majority white area that are slowly becoming a mix bag....I won't deny there are probably a few areas in Ontario that aren't pleasant with minorities but so far, i've only heard stories...no 1st hand experience...

Yeah but what about it though? Think the reverse. Let us say you move to India for a few years for work - say you work in the Canadian embassy. Do you think you will go stay in a majority Indian area, or would you look for an area where there are expats from the US, Canada or other western nations? I'll tell you. In India what I have seen is a lot of expats occupy certain apartment complexes or neighbourhoods. Even better off, richer majority Indian neighbourhoods wont have these expat populations. Expats will congregate in a few areas/apartment complexes. See what I mean? It is in the nature of humans to do that.

That's an assumption...I've been to vietnam, thailand and Philippines....most white americans, Canadians and europeans integrate well with locals...I have never seen these "enclaves" you are claiming...but then again, there are not a lot of expats....there are greedy fuckers who benefit from these enclaves and usually that's how it starts...realtors are a good example for them....IMO that's how Markham and Brampton happened....I remember seeing the first few row houses started in markham and how they were marketed....

It is not an assumption, it is how it is in India. Because I know for a fact that in India, the Middle East and even in China, expats congregate. They may go around and experience the culture etc, but where they live, you will find it is in areas or apartment complexes that are "expat heavy". But of course they are still a minority demographically because India is not an immigration destination. But I am pointing to how people's psyche works. Not sure about greedy realtors though. Its possible they find it easy to market Brampton houses to Indians etc,

Historically, people would travel to different countries to do that. Now with globalism (mass immigration to the west) you only need to drive to Brampton or Markham. The thing is theres too many of em coming in that its overwhelming the system and they cant properly assimilate them. Pretty soon itll be every man for himself!

The goal is not to assimilate but to integrate. They are different things. And it is always every man for himself even without immigration. What is that about? Not sure also why you are against globalism. Humanity's sole purpose has always been to globalize. It isn't a recent phenomenon. Without globalization you wont have Canada.
