Ahhh, Florida...They obviously have a top-notch educational system down there...
But, seriously, the American fetish for firearms is so fucked up. Every day there are stories about idiots fucking around with a gun and killing themselves, a child or some random person. Then you look at the mass shootings that also take place EVERY FUCKING DAY! They are a danger to themselves and everyone near them, and there are few laws on who can buy them or how they store them.

Reminded me of the guy who wanted to show off the body Armour he designed and was wearing on his torso and asked his wife to shoot him to test it- and she shot him in the head.

Ah, strengthening the gene pool by culling the weak minds from the rest of humanity's herd.

Gotta feel for the parent in some manner though, even though they likely provided the weapons these doofuses were using.

The body armour did not stand the test of time. Blind faith in armour while imitating movie/game scenes proved fatal.

It's not time in this scenario but the fact that they shot multiple times. Each shot weakens the vest, and well eventually one round made it through

I don't disagree for the most part, but having as many guns as they do leads to bad situation. But, we do not have a gun fetish like they do. We do not have jackasses strapping on AR-15s and Glocks when they go out to buy coffee at a Starbucks. We do not have daily mass shootings. I'm definitely not saying every gun owner here is responsible, but we also have significantly few accidental shootings (I mean, I cannot even think of the last time something like that happened). I'm not sure how many suicidal people have lived because they didn't have access to a firearm.

I think that many of these gun owners feel like they can be the hero if there is ever a crime. Yes, that does happen from time to time. But, I don't recall it ever happening where a legal gun owner stopped a mass shooting. In fact, they are probably more likely to shoot a bystander than the actual gunman. I've talked about an incident that happened at the Empire State building about a decade ago. Basically, a dude went there and shot his ex-wife or girlfriend and some other folks. He left and was confronted by two NYPD officers who opened fired, shooting something like 25 times. They did fatally shoot the gunman, but also hit like 9 bystanders (thankfully none died).

The point is, these two were trained to use their weapon. Imagine if Johnny Gun Club was shooting with all that stress...He'd be lucky to hit anything....
