Does anyone remember and still appreciate this guy’s work?
Somewhat. I had the first album or whatever it was with Ramblin Gamblin Man. Down Home kicked ass. A lot of his sfuff was overplayed for a long time, but I really love "Fire down below" .

I liked him back in the day. In retrospect, a bit overrated.

Favourite song: Night Moves

Over rated? I don't think so but perhaps (depending on who was singing the praises) but certainly dated. Three's Company (the sitcom) was overrated and is dated.
Some of Segers best stuff is gold some not so. I suspect this long term effect is how he raised the bar. With the end of the music industry back to more tradional music we propably don't have many more Bobs in the future/

Live Bullet is one of the best live albums and back in the late 70's early 80's and recently taken up drums again i love playing to this record .

Also listened to Night moves recently after not hearing it for many years and it's a great record .

Old time Rock & Roll i can do with out .:)

By all accounts a great writer, I never get tired of listening to his stuff.
Legend has it he filled in the lines "gonna be a heartache tonight" for the Eagles.
Like a rcok, Katmandu, Old time R&R,
I had an 8-track of his music in my first car (laugh if you want, the 8 track was innivative, never needed to be flipped over)

Bob Seger is as good a musician as Paul McCartney, his early albums was him and a rhythm section. I saw the Against the Wind tour, he put on a three hour show.

For the longest time he wouldn't allow his music on YT, he's had a change of heart.

Bob Seger is a musician's musician. He would bring a piano player on tour with him but he played all the piano parts in his recordings.

Imho Rick Beato changed his mind about the exposure of his music.
