At the end of his radio show today Nick Kypreos announced that Bob McCown has suffered 2 strokes in the last couple of weeks. He cannot walk or speak, but it sounds like he can communicate. He is undergoing treatment for recovery. Here's hoping for the best for the Bobcat. He sure is missed on terrestrial radio.

I find radio sports talk excruciatingly boring.

Bobcat and his cavalcade of ink stained wretches transferred well to cable. He did very well for himself even developing his own vineyard. I hope he can make a partial recovery, they didn't spot the first one. Here's hoping that modern medicine has advanced enough to repair the damage.

It must have happened over a week ago, John Shannon and Stephen Brunt are co-hosting.

Wonderful news Bobcat got his voice back. He's still got endless sessions of physio to go through, he appears his motor skills just need to be learned again.

I was wondering what sort of drug Bobcat received to get him to this state. It's an IV drug called tPA (tissue plasminongen activator), it breaks up the clot and induces the brain to repair itself. The side effect, he may be mildly hemophiliac while he's on it.
