Andy Frost...Psychedelic Sunday, Leafs Announcer, and occasional replacement for Derringer on Q107 morning show. I guess he was Bob's protege?

I read the title and immediately thought of Andy Frost.

I so miss Andy and his psychedelic Sunday show. It made listening to Q107 on Sundays a religious event.

Now Q107 is absolute shit. They fired Derringer, fired Frost, fired Kim Mitchell, fired everyone worth listening to. And the one asshole they should fire (Fearless Fred) somehow survives. Go figure.

Wait Bob Mackowycz and Andy Frost are the same person? Macko help kickstart Q107 back in 1977, FM rock stations were still new then. I heard Frank Zappa for the first time on Q, their playlist was wide ranging. These days Q grudgingly breaks from their commercial programming to play music. He'll be missed.

I'd never herd this song before Macko played it on Psychedelic Sunday.

The Six O'Clock Rock Report was a staple in my early university days. They had amazing interviews and in-depth content on anything and everything music. I miss it still.

Remember, it was pre-internet in those days. As a huge RUSH fan I used to tune in regularly to hear if there was anything new happening with them. First, the news would come that RUSH was in the studio recording a new album. Then, the release date for the new album. Then, a special preview and/or interview. Finally, the announcement of a concert tour and dates. Then, the cycle would start over again. Back then anticipation could be measured in months, maybe even years.
