I find this type of music banal and without soul.
you hear much of it coming from Eastern Asian (esp. China).

With the sickly sweet and cute closeups and romantic scenes, I'm sure this stuff is aimed at 13 yr. olds.

american music is shit, and sound the same and have rip offs acting like porn stars to compensate for thier lack of musical talents

Funny critique, considering much of asian pop music is just weak copies of western music.

C-M likes BoA (Bank of America)?
Actually, it's supposed to mean "Body of Angel". Some would agree.

I find it's actually the other way around.

I often hear a song by Namie Amuro, Utada Hikaru or Ayumi (who I am no fan of at all) and then hear it 're-imagined' by a North American artist. The Asian, Bollywood and Latino Markets by far outnumber and dominate any others so there is more to 'borrow' from and present to the unilingual north American market who mostly don't know any foreign language artists.

This beautiful song inspired many an artist in North America and will sound familiar event to those who know nothing about this artist:
