Hello, there isn’t any information about this place on the board so I thought I would share my recent experience.
Booking
The booking was pretty eventful. When I asked about availability, the guy handling the emails got back to me almost a day later. I confirmed availability and tried to book online. I got some kind error message so I emailed to confirm if they got my booking. Again the guy took 6 hours to get back to me. Finally I was able to book successfully.
About a week later, I checked my credit card to see if the deposit was made and it wasn’t. When I emailed about it, he didn’t get back to me until a full 2 days later and only when I sent him an email admonishing him for his lateness. Finally he sent me a receipt for the deposit.
Pick Up
The pick up went smoothly. You fly to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. It was only a 20 minute drive from the airport.
Resort
The Grounds
The resort is very nice. It’s very clean and well maintained. It is also very small. I can walk the length of the resort in a couple minutes. I was put in the Bungalows. It was average size and very clean. The time I was there, there was no cable TV as advertised. It wasn't too big a deal as I only use it for background noise. The resort is beach side. The beach is very nice. It’s also quite secluded. I only saw about three people on the beach the entire time I was there. The time I actually spent on the beach, I met no one else.
There is medium size pool and a Jacuzzi. The bar is the hub of the resort where all the girls are usually hanging out. There is a stripper’s pole surrounded by coaches near the bar. They play the music at “club” volume so it is hard to talk to the girls.
The eating area is outside on the other side of the bar. The chefs bring the food to that area when it is time to eat. They come out during meal times and essentially wait until your ready to eat. This is was ok but it also felt pressured to eat when they were ready and not when I was hungry. For example, I got up late one morning and I walked to that area to see them standing around. I could sense that they had wanted me to come earlier so they could do other stuff. You also eat with the girls so if you’re late the girls have to wait as well.
On a side note, the resort turns off the water at certain times usually in the middle of the night. As you can imagine, that takes some planning for certain things…
The Staff
The staff were all very friendly and willing to do what ever you need them to do. The chefs were really good.
The Girls
The resort uses a system similar to Oxygen Retreat where you use coupons to spend time with the girls. The girls are 8-9 out of 10 rating. There are 2 hour day coupons and overnight coupons. The girls are very energetic and willing to please and party with you. Very few of them spoke English. They all treated me kindly.
During the time I was there, there was 7 girls there. One of those girls was tied to the other guest that was there so I had 6 girls to choose from. The following day, the manager asked me to pick 3 girls and he was going to send the rest home. That night, another of the girls left and the following day the second girl left. That left only one girl for me to spend my time with. It was only by coincidence/luck that I “clicked” with that girl or the rest of my vacation would have been very unpleasant.
Final Thoughts
The booking was kind of pain. The dining conditions can be annoying. The fact that virtually all the girls left wasn’t very nice either. Before, they all left the girls were very much into party mode. That is not exactly my style. As I like to sit with a nice drink and a girl to talk to. Despite that, I had a good time with the girl that was left. She pretty much saved that part of the vacation for me and I told her so before I left.
I am on the fence on whether I would return. I didn’t have a bad time but I didn’t have awesome time. I had a good time and for the amount of money I spent, I would expect to have an awesome time.
