Wow, a 72 year old former sex trade worker! According to the expert quoted in The Globe and Mail, their average life expectancy is only 34. She lived a second life.

Some of the comments posted by so-called "respectable people" make me sick.

The women used a walker and clearly was not a current working girl so why is it even relevant to bring up her past in the sex trade? Like seriously?

People are fucked!

Guess what? The mere fact that you are all so outraged validates the reporting. It's also not just the Sun. Every media outlet I've heard/read/watched has mentioned it.

As for her age.... Life expectancy of 34? That's plausible. But does the expert also cite co-morbidity factors?

Her last charges were in 2002. She would have been 62-ish? Wow. good on her!

The Sun report does seem to skew towards emphasizing the sex-trade worker aspect, as well as implying that she was still active in the trade, probably to up the shock value for the general public.

"It’s unclear if the victim was still involved in the industry, but neighbours told police “numerous” men regularly visited her apartment."

Every other report I've seen, including video interviews with neighbours, says that numerous "people" visited her to help her, including (what neighbours believe was) her daughter. By saying "numerous men" (which is probably technically true), they are certainly trying to imply she was still active.

Investigators are hoping to identify a man captured by security cameras on the second floor about an hour before the blaze erupted. He left through a rear door of the building shortly before the superintendant called 911 to report the fire (Extract from Sun article)

Wonder what is that man's relationship to the deceased woman?

Maybe I'm wrong, but it might be appropriate to say former sex-worker if the content of the story requires it for relevance and to help with leads.
