And unfortunately it is to a certain extent self-perpetuating. Children born into single parent low-income homes are extremely disadvantaged financially, educationally, and lack the generally positive influence of having 2 parents (usually, but not always male & female) shaping their home-life and socially educational environments and their own attitudes as to what their responsibilities should be to the children they may bring into this world.

As a young punk, I had several interactions with cops We were doing the exact same things at the same time yet for some reason, white-assed me got off easy while my black friends got the Cherry Beach Express.

I have privilege too. Being raised in a community that has low crime and a relatively high rate of responsible behaviour(school/work/etc) with parents, like most in my community that were responsible with strong work ethic. THAT, is the privilege.

States with strong nuclear family units tend to have issues with mental health and lgbtq suicide. Example, Utah. Ironically, right wing states tend to be poorer as well.

Successful immigrants to come from money. Our labor force needs disposables, which is why we have places like Jane and Finch (which is very soft now).

Maybe the answer lies in leolist. Most advertisers don't want to see black men and specifically say it. I assume it is because of the crime element and their own safety. Although most on here would call them racist.

You cannot help someone who doesn’t want to help himself/herself. All the doors to happiness are available; just pick a door and work hard at it. Guaranteed to be successful - if you don’t have a disability or medical condition or unlucky stuff going on. There’s no systemic excuse based on race. If you’re the best at something, others will see that and reward you for it. Yes there is racist people. However that goes both ways every way; duh, every race doesn’t trust the other races. leolist is filled with scammers and thieves many have ads that say "no black gents" and escorts in Britain don't discriminate against black men

and 2 agencies i know don't allow discrimination against black clients

Frankly, i think you are the one with mental issues. "States with strong nuclear family units tend to have mental issues"? What utter nonsense. Right wing states tend to have lower median household income but the cost of living is much lower. $100,000 in New York City doesnt get you very far while $50,000 in Birmingham gets you far.

"Successful immigrants come from money?" What hogwash. Perhaps you should post less and think more. I am a black immigrant from Ghana. Came here with nothing. Acquired a PhD in chemical engineering from reputable university. Self employed. My neighborhood is upper middle class with immigrant doctors, Canadian born business people, etc. Every single family as far as the eye can see is nuclear. My kids and all others here are successful.

I grew up in Toronto Community Housing. I've seen with my own eyes, innocent black guys (and brown) being arrested and charged for being at the wrong place and wrong time (during drug and weapons raids, breaking up fights and parties, etc). The white trash who smoked crack in the basements and sold their own drugs were barely arrested. Outside of that neighbourhood i lived in, you were always stopped at night by police and ID'd if you were a POC.

All I can do is laugh at the idiots down south trying to ban CRT.
