In fact some of those educational programs, once real scientists examined them, did not have good outcomes and were often counterproductive in that it made people more resentful and hardened their prejudices. Yet they were being mandated.

If Apple rejects a proposal that would dismantle its diversity, equity and inclusion commitments, it would buck the wave of anti-DEI policies sweeping corporate America.
DEI is not horrible.
It can have its positives.
Its only horrible at those that are not committed and merely have a department for PR.
But if committed they will both have a diverse as well as productive workforce as demonstrated by many.
I give kudos here because they are not folding to conservative pressure unlike Bezos and Zuckerberg who are now sucking up to MAGA and Trump.

Apple and Costco have already been ahead of DEI. Since it's already baked into the work culture it probably makes no difference, which translates to no need for the bad press.
