In fact some of those educational programs, once real scientists examined them, did not have good outcomes and were often counterproductive in that it made people more resentful and hardened their prejudices. Yet they were being mandated.

And just as soon as this MAGA cult backlash ends, they will bring it back or call it something else.
Just performative.
Performative is what these programs were to begin with. These are corporations. They only care about one thing. Money. WTF does DEI have to do with selling more burgers?

No kudos. It’s horrible they can’t adapt yet. Eventually they will have to. Why wait.
DEI is not horrible.
It can have its positives.
Its only horrible at those that are not committed and merely have a department for PR.
But if committed they will both have a diverse as well as productive workforce as demonstrated by many.
I give kudos here because they are not folding to conservative pressure unlike Bezos and Zuckerberg who are now sucking up to MAGA and Trump.

Apple holds firm on DEI.
So does Costco.
Kudos to both for not folding to conservative lobby groups and pressure.
Apple and Costco have already been ahead of DEI. Since it's already baked into the work culture it probably makes no difference, which translates to no need for the bad press.
