So i have this laptop that since i bought it has been othe shop like 3 times with the same issue.

I called them yesterday because my LCD again is not responding well and they told me how my warranty expired on NOV.3th. Keep in mind that with their policy, 3 times is a charm. I was suppose to get the product replaced.

Does anyone have a worka round to this? WHo can I call?
Jeees Im pissed off

Actually, the "3 times is a charm" actually is a "3 times is a lemon" policy, where if the device malfunctions 3 times within your PRODUCT SERVICE PLAN then it is replaced with a new product. Since it sounds like you stuck with the regular warranty, all bets are off for replacing your product.

The only suggestion I can offer is to take it to a computer shop to get it repaired if it is a hardware issue.

Actually I had the Product service warranty. i am going to a store today see what they tell me. Its going to be my last attempt before taking it to a repair shop.

The Best Buy

Best Buy is another giant who rips-off its customers in whatever manner it can.
As regards prices of their products the claim that they can match any other retailers but its all a scam and big talk nothing more. About two weeks ago i bought a Garmin GPS of model 265W @ $229 from BestBuy and the same available at The Source @ 199.99 though its a small amount but still when you look at other items also there must be some flaw in their pirces not matching other retailers. There should be some check and balance authority to into look such matters, & control these giants from ripping-off consumers. Same goes for their sister concern The Future Shop too, in electronics retailing there should be a new retailing company on style of Walmart/Superstores to control such Rip-off giants over here in Canada. I 2nd, the suggesion of Skyfire that they should change their Title to The BestScam Electronics, so the proposed clients
can be aware of scaming tactics.

Sorry to hear that dude...
Policy or no policy, Rosie wouldn't stand for that shit!
You have to be FORCEFUL! Go back there, armed with the reports or receipts from the previous repairs, then ask to speak to a manager. Show them the paper work and be strong, not necessarily rude, and make sure that customers around that section hear that are dissatisfied with what has transpired. Heck, you don't even need the spectators; just be confident, unyielding, and steadfast in what you are saying UNTIL they replace that pile of shit!
Rosie ALWAYS gets things of this nature resolved to Rosie's liking via this manner.
They will fuck you over if they know they can. They will respect you if they know that they can't fuck you.
Fucking fuckers!

I have had success in a few stores where I have gone in and mentioned that this same product is priced lower at another store and would they be able to match it. Usually they will.

This worked at Future Shop with a GPS that I saw cheaper at Factory Direct. They not only matched the price, but gave me an additional 5% off following their price protection policy. I also went into the Bay and told them that Sears was selling the same mattress pad for $50 less. They dropped the price, which was good as Sears was already sold out of the product at that price. Best Buy has also matched prices on other electronics. The key is that the price needs to be posted on the internet or in an ad.

I find Bestbuy are very reasonable when you reason with them. Don't talk to the counterperson. Thats your first mistake. Get the manager and be prepared with all your documentation. You will be surprised how much they will help you if you minimize their efforts to help you. I have had a lot of success with large companies such as this returning and replacing defective hardware. Use diplomacy..

DISCLAIMER: Forget trying this with Tiger Direct. They are a bunch of pricks..

Bestbuy ripped me off on a rebate. They would not honor the receipt they gave me, they said I had to send in for a different type of receipt which I did. It took them 2 months to send it to me, by which time the rebate expired.
I was looking for an ipod carrier. Was near a BestBuy so checked their price -$39.95. Bought it at Walmart for $19.95.

One of the ways the lager Box type stores get around the "lowest price" guarantee is by buying large quantities of an item. The manufacturer will add a number or digit to the product code for them. That way no matter where you find the same item the product code will not match and you do not receive the difference.

This is most prevalent on printers. Canon is notorious for this. Same machine different code at various stores.

Plus, the chains make a huge profit on selling upgraded warranties that cover virtually nothing. I've had a run in before with Staples on a laptop.

Took it in, again the 3rd major repair, and asked for the replacement as per the warranty. The warranty covered the machine replacement as is. Meaning a broken machine which is worthless. Fought that one hard and ended up showing the same laptop on Ebay and Craigs for the correct used price. They paid and added another 200.00 for the mistake.

My advice..stay on them. Squeaky wheel theory.
