Worst:
1) Burger King
I tried the Big Smoke Burger (used to be called Craft Burger) located at Yonge and Bloor the other day ~ it was unbelievably-good.
I like hero burger but I always get the turkey burger (the one that has cranberry sauce on it- so good)
The only way to be sure is to ground your own chuck, and don't make it too lean.Agreed, Burger King even sets a low among the other fast food competitors.
Any great burger has to start with fresh (unfrozen) lean ground beef and include a choice of fresh toppings. I detest frozen meat patties (100% beef covers any part of the animal that fell in the grinder and got ground up before freezing).
I didn't realize that but you're right... (I'm not a big fan of bacon on burgers any way - I feel guilty-enough eating them lol) but their burger toppings are pretty-unique and the burger was too big for me to finish.I recently discovered the joys of Big Smoke, the one on King just east of Yonge. I agree. Very good, esp with the onion rings.
My only complaint is that there is no burger on the menu that offers bacon. Major faux pas, IMO.
I somewhat agree with this. 5 guys the first time sucked, the second time was pretty good. So no consistency, or a really bad cook the first time.I found nothing impressive about either 5 guys or hero.
Ignorance like this will get someone killed.... They're also too thin and served well done; any burger conoisseur knows that a premium burger shouldn't be cooked any more than medium. Before the food sanitation police chime in, a burger cooked medium is fine if the chef is grinding the meat on premises with clean equipment.
I have to agree. In fact they would be my 2 WORST burger experiences in Toronto in the last 5 years.I found nothing impressive about either 5 guys or hero.
Apache was great but that was years ago before the kids took over from the old man.WTF!!!! How about Apache Burger???. GB
I agree to a point, but it's still a damn good burger there.Apache was great but that was years ago before the kids took over from the old man.
Tilted Kilt is a US company based in ArizonaAfter that would be the lousy burger at the Tilted Kilt at East Beaver Creek, but then again nobody goes to the Canadian version of hooters for the food.
SAY WHAT!?!?!? For real? I usually get their sauced up chicken strips since they are made fresh from actual chicken breast and the sauce is made fresh daily. Love it when the chef makes the hot just that much hotter than normal. Based on this reco I just may try a burger next time I'm there.Jack Astors (Front & University)has never let me down
