WTF? Where's Greece? They won the Euro cup in 2004 and couldn't even qualify for the WC. That's messed up.

The best moment was when that guy got hurt until his opponent got a yellow card. It was like a miracle.
I don't know what those doctors do over there.... but the one moment the guy is rolling around like he is going to die, they carry him off on the stretcher
and in less than 2 minutes the guy is back on the field.....

I really hate it when I see a guy get tripped and then proceeds to roll around like he got run over by a car.... I think that it just shows really bad sportsmanship to do so... especially if the guy who commits the foul gets a yellow or red card.....

If you have Rogers On Demand, ROD Channel 100 I believe, you can watch all the games in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Mandarin (could be Cantonese I'm not the expert) for FREE from the beginning (June 9th) until the previous day and they update one extra day every night. I know a few guys with DVD Recorders that have taped some games.

Thanks. Rogers is doing a great job with the multi-lang games & on demand. May caught it on a slow day.

For now, looking forward to taking in games with few red devils. Just hope they don't charge me room fees.

Viewership

world cup final = 2billion
superbowl = 40million
stanley cup = about 10 million

HAHHAHAHAHHHA:D

I see all the people here with 'green' eyes

Lehmann & Klinsmann

Klinsmann with the balls to put Kahn in the final game, in place of Lehmann.

And Lehmann, a class act. He played a fantastic tournament. Earned the team's right to the 3rd-place game, to give up his spot for Kahn.

In most sport, the sub'ing of players can made & break a team in these high cal competition. The more competitive they're, the more they think for self over team.

Lehmann & Kahn, Germany's MVP.:)

Watching Ronaldo (Portugal) is the best television entertainment out there.

The diving, the whining, the "wink" and of course, the crying. It's television drama at it's best.

1) When italy RAPED germany in extra time- 2 sweet goals

2) When rooney got the red card and england LOST!!!

3) Seeing ballack cry like a baby because all the dumbass did was push people around, wait a go queer.

4) Buffon doesn't allow a single goal in any match. Greatness.

Only thing missing was no big fat red card for cry-baby boy after yet another blatant
display of olympic diving!!
Fifa needs to do something about this

My best moments:

Shevchenko finally playing in the World Cup. So many great players couldn't participate because their national teams were bad at that moment or kept losing in the qualifying round - George Best, Ryan Giggs, George Weah, Jari Litmanen, Eric Cantona

Cambiasso goal (Argentina - Serbia)

How Zidane was playing in the last three games

The kid is really talented. Too bad resorting to the acting. Think the Japanese ref did the right thing by ignoring him.

Never knew refs get medals. That's a rare sight.

And German Chanc present medals to home fav was a good finish, imo.

Fireworks after 3rd place game was great idea. Germany hosted a great 'no-incident' world-cup thus far.

Some moments that stood out for me were:

A 34 year old Zidane mocking the Brazilians with his sublime touches and rolling back the years was a thing of beauty. The ball he flicked over Ronaldo's head and then perfectly catches it with his foot before passing it on is yet another showing on why he is probably the best player of the last decade (or even the past two). Even Ronnie had nothing on him this time around.

Cristiano Ronaldo's on-field antics. It's a shame he has to stoop to that level with the number of unnecessary dives considering the talent he has and the look on his face that he is almost ready to cry. It probably cost him winning the tournament's young player award over Podolski. However, he gets my vote for "The Golden Dive" award.

The English ref who couldn't count. It took three yellow cards before he sent the Croatian player off.
