I've tried almost every veal sandwich place from Mississauga to Oshawa.

So far the best i've had is Sinatra's on Clements rd just south of the pickering flea market. They have a location in oshawa too north simcoe south of taunton.

Another place is Lamanna's bakery on Kingston rd/port union. Not as big veal sandwich as sinatras, but very good food.

San Francesco's on finch/ alness respectable 3rd place.

California sanwiches, kind of sick of after all these years. Just had one today.

Where is your favorite for veal sandwiches?

St. Lawrence Market? Gotta be a worthy contender somewhere in there......more of the back bacon on a bun type myself but I may have to do a wee bit o investigating on this.

That's a good place.
Even better, I think, is Panini at Weston and Hwy.7.

Yeah, the only place I'm familiar with is at St. Lawrence Market. I've enjoyed the veal sandwich with a few hot peppers, sauce spilling out over my hands when I ate it. Troops, I'd like to get your opinion on how the SLM sandwich rates compared to others you've tried.

La Rose Bakery in Etobicoke is good too.
The problem with them is, they're made first thing in the morning and sit there all day, I suspect that they serve them the next day too.
Also, they are heavily floured and breaded to give appearance of substance.

Thats when i get them. I never get them in the afternoon or evening. But ya, your right about the heavy flour. and breading. Because they are a bakery.........maybe its the bread i like more than the sandwich.

Il Paesano on Brown's Line in Etobicoke used to be good. I think they switched owners years ago and was never the same. Plus I'm not in the GTA as much anymore to try it again.

Has to be the original location. I don't know what is is but the run down ambiance and the Nonas visible in the kitchen somehow make them better than the other locations. Love the spiced olives too.
