The Keebler Factory
Looking to outfit a bed with some mid- to high quality bedding (sheets, pillows, cases, comforter, etc.).

What's a good place to go? Especially if it has good deals.

They have Bed, Bath and Beyond in Canada now and you can get Bamboo and Satin pillowcases and bedding there. I find that most of the stuff at The Bay and Home Outfitters are only 100% cotton or 100% pima cotton or 100% cotton sateen. Personally, I'm not a fan of the cotton, so I'll stick with the bamboo.

Homesense and Winner's are you best bet, around 70$ will get you a set (2 pillowcases, 1 flat, 1 fitted in king size and with a good thread count (saw 1000 and 1200 at that price before). The deal is that because both of those stores are a form of liquidator, you have to either visit a few or visit often as they dont always have the same selection of colors and styles available (Stuff comes in several times a week).

way out in left field
Believe it or not, I bought some decent high thread count cotton sheets at Zellers. I think they are around 6 or 700 and I love em. (love a crawling into cool crisp sheets). I paid $30.00 or $40.00 for the set on sale.

If you want higher than that, then you'll have to hit some higher end stores. I went to sears and they were all around $100.00 for a similar set. Now they have sales all the time at their warehouse stores but it's a dog's breakfast of mixed up sizes, colours, styles etc.
