yes it is shitty lyrics but you can't tell a person how a song or anything is supposed to affect him. i am no fan of this music and i would for sure make fun of him for listening to it but to try and tell him it is not allowed to affect him is silly.

You are right about the difference in opinions, to be honest this music is intended for the newer generation of hip hop and r&b, older folks simply won't get it. calm down poncho, i am sticking up for you. i find the new music of today to be annoying, grating, repetitive, shitty, boring and some of the worst music ever written and the only people that can appreciate it are of the same mentality. if you like it that is fine for you and you are fully allowed to. this music is of course intended for the newer generation since the newer generation has a short attention span.

you don't have to have lost a perfect 10 to appreciate good music or even slow songs. there is nothing better than a classic ballad. i can tell you in a week or month this song won't matter and it will have been long forgotten by just about everyone. if you appreciate it, that is fine for you. to say older people won't get it is asinine.

i think the song is horrible and i didn't even listen to it and i am not older by any stretch.
