I don't know if you've every worked in a restaurant (and I'm not talking McDonald's), but many things are switched. Polar Ice for Grey Goose, frozen for fresh (if you're like me, you know how this effects certain foods), pre-cooked served as 'fresh off the grill', and even wine (that $30 glass of Amarone from a $7 bottle of Shiraz). I'm sure many know the difference, but in relation to those who don't know, those who know are a very small group.

Maybe I should start an 'Ask-the-waiter' thread???

Sorry to piss on fish lovers parade folks, but this thread will be a fairy tale in a few years.

The oceanic food chain is collapsing from various hostile agents with many of the fish we now eat going extinct. Tina in all its onetime variants could be extinct within the next decade. Phytoplankton and zooplankton are dissappearing which means progressively less grown salmon returning to rivers to spawn.

Most of the worlds coral reefs are being annihilated by trawlers. The Darwin Reefs of of Northern Scotland have been totally destroyed and fish stocks in the area have completely collapsed. Tuna stocks have declined 95%, Sea Turtles 99%, Cod 97%........

When Brian Tobin took on the European floating fish factories on the Grand Banks, he wasn't doing it for publicity.

Sad but true. The reason why there are no more Northern Cod is because of the LLL's campaign to "save the seals":mad: . Seals eat fish!

I have tried Red Lobster several times, and differnet locations just to give it a chance, I thought the food was terrible.

I have an opinion on the European ban on seal products (hypocritical fucktards) but it will have to wait until after my Mother's Day duties.

Btw, I'm an oyster on the half shell man, and this is my favorite seafood restaurant.
