Haven't been to a few of those places but I'd say Terroni's is what I'd choose over the others (from what I recollect as I haven't been in a couple of years). And this after stuffing my face with pizza every few days recently in the homeland.

I've been once to Camarra's a year or so ago, the pizza was ok but didn't strike me as "top tier" pizza...but probably some degrees above Pizza Pizza et al.

Never ordered a fresh pizza from Mamma's Pizza, but judging by the occasional ready-made slices I've had over the years--bombing them all into oblivion would be fitting. I don't know how they survive other than being in very high traffic areas.

I assume Pizzeria Libretto is very promising but I've never been. I tried going in its initial days but it was always packed, so it kind of fell off my radar. Plus the fufu yuppy hipsters that I believe I saw would not be conducive to my appetite.

The results indicate that Pizza Nova is number one, with 1/3 of all votes. Terroni's is second, and Camarra's has been mentioned by several in the posts. Lots of others mentioned once or twice.

Sorry i meant south of Lawrence, north of Eglinton
To be a little more precise, just north of Glencairn, east side of Dufferin, best thick crust pizza for me for over 30 years, best thin crust for me is Vesuvios on Dundas in the Junction.

I have to agree. Since, I have been to Ont., about 6 years, I have yet to have a good pizza. I remember some places in Edmonton, and no way do they compare to the TO pies. Don't get me wrong there a lot of bad pizza joints in Edmonton too. I am close to Camarra, so I will give it a try. Actually, one pie that I had that wasn't too bad was at Fortinos. But, unless you had Royal Pizza, College Pizza, Pharohs Pizza and a few others whose name I can't remember in Edmonton you haven't had a good pie. By the way Pizza Pizza is one of the worst, ever.
Wow, hungry, you and I must be polar opposites. I used to live in Edmonton and I have NOTHING good to say about Alberta pizza. It tastes like cardboard, the bread is too thick, they pile the cheese on top of the toppings, and the sauce is just so damned bland. And here, I am talking specifically about Royal and Pharohs. Never been to College Pizza.

Back in my E-town days, I longed for an Ontario pizza, with tangy sauce, normal bread, toppings I can see, and actual flavour. Kind of weird, our divergent experiences, as I found Alberta pizzas to be bland and tasteless no matter where I went.

I like the Italian Restaurants that stone bake their pizza.
I concur. And the thinner the crust the better. It astounds me that one cannot find in North America a typical European pizza, one size only with an ultra-thin crust that drapes over the plate and has to be eaten with a knife and fork, and is full of flavour.

I went to a place in Hamilton that has pizza like this, I forget the name, but I believe it is on the corner of Barton and Grays. A guy I use to work with took me their and he ranted about how good the pizza was and that they were just like the ones on Italy. He had been to Italy numerous times. They were pretty good, and had an ultra thin crust.

I hate to admit this, but I do enjoy Pizza Nova.

Not gourmet "style" obviously, but for a fast food chain pizza, nothing beats their sauce.

My vote goes to "Gourmet Pizza" , which is not on poll, located on east side Yonge st directly across from College Park. Their "Carnivore" pizza is just simply delicious!

Been there many times after working up an appetite from visiting many incalls that are located around there!
Isn't that Amato ? I really like their pizza too. Many to choose from

Definitely Pizzeria Libretto on Ossington, south of Dundas. Thin crust, great ingredients...authentic Italian apps as well.

The best pies I've ever had are in New york...not Sbarro, but a place in chelsea area of the city that I can't just remember. But, in general, the level of pies at any joint in New York are pretty damn good.

Oh great ! All this damn pizza talk and now I am hungry. See what you TERBies have done.

Anyway, it is long gone, but I swore by Italian Style Pizza on Kingston Rd a couple blocks east of Woodbine. Every Saturday night my friends and I would order a large(1 pie per three guys) and watch hockey, in the summer rent a movie or play cards.

Today I like Pizza L'Amore on Kingston Rd east of McCowan.

I have tried Diamond and like it, they have been around awhile. I used to go there when I lived in the area.
Magic Oven(Broadview across from subway) was OK, not great in my opinion.
Gourmet is good, but not convenient for me.
Dante's(Bay Thorn / North Yonge ?) last time I was there I felt they went down hill. 10 years ago it was one of my favs, had great minestrone soup.

Best chain is Pizzaville in my opinion.

I am going to try several of the places mentioned. First up will be Gen's Pizzeria Libretto.
