Best Philly steak sandwich....where?

After having yet another horrific philly sandwich last night, i decided to post this question.

Where can one find a good philly steak sandwich in this city?

The best I've had is at Shoeless joes at king and spadina( the other shoeless joes were not as good whatsoever)

A couple of places in Montreal do a great cheesesteak sandwich. However, having once sampled one at Pat's in Philly...nothing has ever come close to it since that time.

Not a huge Philly steak fan, so I might not know a good Philly when I see one. I usually see them as usual pubfare, and a pretty good one in the food courts of some malls. I think the name is the Great Steak and Potato Co.

There's one in the Promenade, Atrium on Bay, and Eaton Centre.

I stopped by this place once to watch a game...nothing fancy, just a nice sports bar, but the food was good and the beer was cold. I didn't have the philly, but the burger and wings were great:

IMHO, you have to go to Philadelphia to get what you're looking for. I lived there for 2 years and quickly fell in love with the Philly Cheesesteak. I have not found anyplace around here that serves anything that comes close.

I agree, there are no really good philly steak sandwiches in Toronto. I have learned to make my own but thinly sliced steak is hard to get unless you ask a butcher to do it.

Are there any "Steakery" restaurants in TO. Theirs is so far the best I have had but it was in the St. Catharines Pen Center.

Yes, NOTHING compares to Pat's or Gino's philly steak on 8th st Philly! Wiz, onion, mushroom hot sauce and bell pepper... Waiting for the fall colours to make my Philly steak run. Road trip.
