Getting together with the fellas this weekend to tilt back a few beers and watch Shogun scrap it out with Jones on UFC. Curious . . . which place offers the best combination of tasty brew, hot bartenders/waitresses, toys for the boys [pool table (billiards), table soccer (foosball, jettoni), table hockey (bubble hockey)], giant plasma T.V's etc?

How about none of the above? You're better off going to the bar section of a Boston Pizza or Jack Astor's than you are hitting some of those places for a sports bar experience.

A few of those aren't really sports bars (Madison, Brunswick House, Rivoli, Down One) as in they may have trouble even finding a seat with a view of the TV, or they may not have it on PPV if the event is PPV.

Maybe start with this list:

The Real Sports Bar tops the list.... many don't like it, but it's hard to leave off of a list of the best places in Toronto.

I heard this place is good but I have never been so can't say for sure....http://www.realsports.ca/index.php?option=com_content&view=frontpage&Itemid=55
Real Sports Bar is worth a visit for the pure spectacle of it. Every time I've been there it's more or less been a sausage fest, but the servers are hot. I read an article recently that said that more single women are going there to meet guys, but who knows if that is true.

The atmosphere definitely isn't like a relaxing pub though. It's packed on game nights, so go early. Not sure if they do reservations yet.

Just find a place with good food and cool ambiance that has a TV or two.

Stay away from these faceless assembly line places that just want to suck away your $ with $17.00 pints and overcooked food. They won't give a shit who you are and won't even remember you if/when you return.

Talk it over with your buddies, decide on a mutual more neighborhood oriented place and you'll get better service and have more fun.

Seems like you're looking for a sports bar/billiards under one roof. Best bet . . . www.safaribarandgrill.com and www.harboursportsgrille.com

Anybody else know of any others, feel free to chime in. Cheers.

Just mail MLSE a cheque and save yourself some time if you feel the need to kneel and pray at the Leafs altar.

Watched once at a strip club. Sort of along the lines of watching the HBO show Spartacus.
