Those are some good picks but i dont think they went back far enough in time.Since i am a Bears fan i would have put Sayers and Butkus on the list. 2 hall of famers that were picked in rounds 1 and 2 of the same year. I dont think any team has ever had that happen before.

Some of my friends read the list wrong, so I thought I'd share just in case you interpreted the list in the same way.

1. Of all the first round 1st picks ever selected, John Elway was considered the best pick up.
2. Of all the first round 2nd picks ever selected, Lawrence Taylor was considered the best pick up.

And so on. That's why Montana is not on this list because I think he was a third round pick. Also, they did mention Troy Aikman, Peyton Manning and Terry Bradshaw as close considerations for the best first round 1st pick ever, but they gave the nod to Elway.

Don't think that anything matches this .

Hey,

I love the NFL draft just following the ''action''. I like to see how things flow the first 2 rounds .

NBA draft is great as well and I do not follow the NHL draft just because the impact is not as great , unless you are the Penguins !
