Actually, I think it's just because Ottawa men are pushovers. You think Montreal & Toronto rates are low just because there's a bigger customer base? It's because they won't pay more.

TOTALLY agree. Ottawa men spend more time sucking up to the service providers rather than calling a spade a spade.

And I do understand economics, thank you very much. I was under the impression that we're to share our feedback and not insult one another - or perhaps that's the other board!

Gotta agree with this, have heard the same in duscussions with providers. Not that Ottawa guys are pushovers but they spend more. They especially complain that Montreal guys are cheap. Ottawa, like most goverment cities, has more guys willing and capable of spending more than your average city. Just the way it is.

I don't know if that's even a good excuse, not all civil servants are mandarins.

Of course its supply and demand. Ottawa guys, either because they are pushovers or big spenders or whatever, are creating the demand, and the demand is exactly what it is. The supply ... at the higher end, probably Michelle MA, CMJ and others listed here... is exactly what it is. The price might artifically be set by the supply in terms of their membership fee or whatever, but if no one shows up, that price would likely drop in the short run until there is demand. In the longer run, the supply might drop if the price isn't high enough and these lovely ladies aren't willing to massage some slob's hairy back unless the price is higher. :>) And this will continue until there is equilibrium.

There is nothing comparable in Ottawa massage to GTA high end massage if you really do have high end standards for looks and services... particularly looks. An 8 or a 9 on the Ottawa looks scal on this board, would a six or maybe seven by Toronto massage ranking standards.

Comparing rates between top places city to city and saying they are comparable is sort of silly, when most of these girls would have to work at B level spas in Toronto.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Looks like because I will be travelling with a friend CMJ will be my best bet.
