I figure I'd start this one tonight.

My bet goes to Pearl Jam or Stone Temple Pilots, with an honourable mention to Keith Urban who is also heaps talented.

What are your favourites?!?!?

Rod Stewart, don't like his music much but his energy during concerts is top notch. Emerson Lake and Palmer.. Drum solo for 20 minutes has to be a classic

Going to the Leonard Cohen concert in Hamilton. You still think he has it?

Oh please...put me to sleep, because that's what I would do if I ever saw him. Just listening to his singing(or rather talk) bores me.

Rush, absolutely, one of the best.

I agree. Coldplay put on a great show last summer. I'm hoping to get tickets again for this July.

*Fingers crossed*

My faves that I have seen:

Deep Purple
Pearl Jam (saw em in Seattle, about 30 songs for the home crowd! WOW)
Kansas (Cheap Trick opened, unknown band just got back from Japan, last minute fill in almost stole the show)
Kinks (Bryan Adams opened)
Blue Oyster Cult
Peter Frampton

Worst Live Bands:
Foreigner
REO Speedwagon
Judas Priest (opened for Angel who also sucked but not as bad)
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts

Believe it or not, Prince when he was touring with Sheila E put on an amazing show but I have to go with Queen. Followed closely by (the original) Van Halen, then David Bowie.

U2 (second row, Massey Hall) while was the best produced and sounding show, it was just 4 guys on stage.

Now if you like theatrics, NOTHING beats ELO where the top lifted off their spaceship.......but Madonna did a pretty decent show (this was before she was lipsyncing)

I would give an arm and a leg to see Queen live. Unfortunately, the closest I could come to that was buying tickets to "We Will Rock You" which isn't even close. Weh, weh, weh..

I was lucky enough to see Queen at Wembley in '86, blew me away.... Also up there at the top of the list are Pink Floyd and Iron Maiden.

For an amazing patriotic show, Runrig takes a lot of beating, especially when they play somewhere like Edingurgh Castle or Loch Ness.....

U2 Hands down.

I've seen them every time they've been in town since 1985.

March 1991 - Auctung Baby (Zoo TV) Warm Up concert Series - Maple Leaf Gardens. It was a warm day in march and the Gardens was a sauna. They were so good I could have cried. I'll never forget they played "Angel of Harlem" on the small stage and EVERYONE was singing along. Never sat down for the entire concert.
