Best Chinese Food in town

Hey everyone.

My favorite Spot for decent Chinese food was sold to new owners And just as I figured the quality went down as soon as they took over. Cheaping out on the food they buy probably. They also changed the recipes on some of my favorite dishes.

So now what........................................need a new place

Any suggestions for great Chinese food in the region.

I like Mandarin but was looking for a more owner operator type place.

Anyway put in your 2 cents and lets see what we get here

For buffet style... there's no question that the Mandarin is the best. It just just opened up a few weeks ago and is located out by Sportsworld.

The best Szechwan in town by far can be had at King Tin Restaurant, 258 King St N, Waterloo, Ontario (519) 885-4716.
My personal fav is the beef with black bean saunce and vermachelli.

have you tried the Red Papaya on fairway rd next to St. Louis bar/grill?
it's my fav although its more Vietnamese/Thai then Chinese

you have to travel a bit but

if the occassion arises that you are going to be in or near Elmira, the
Tien Lee is about as good as I have ever had.

Right on main st accross from td bank.

Haven't been there in years, so hopefully new ownership hasn't taken over. I doubt that it was family operated.

Kings Buffet just opened too. Going later this week. If is next to Toys R us

Chinese Food

Kings Buffet is an almost exact clone of the Manderin. Only not as expensive. About $14 for buffet on fri/sat dinner. Large variety of dinner items and an even larger dessert bar. Have been several times to the one in Guelph and highly recommend it.

For more authentic asian foods though I prefer Pho Benh Thanh (Thai) has a large and varied menu. Isn't all spicy as I first thought it would be. There's one in cambridge and a relatively new one on Northfield near King (by Williams Coffee)

I agree that Cameron is awesome for sit down and believe Mandarin best buffet
