Topper's Pizza. I believe they call it a topperitotti or something gay like that. Not very traditional, but I can say, 'that's one tasty burger'! D'oh!

who ever has a pizza you like can make a calzone you will like. A poor sauce will ruin it. So go to the place where they have a pizza you like.

Massimo's at College Street and Robert Street, a block west of Spadina, made great Calzone once upon a time (the dough and the sauce are the secrets). It's changed ownership so I couldn't say what it's like now.

I heard so much about Massimo's. Will try it out next time I'm around there.

Fortino's grocery store makes great calzones. They have the wood burning oven and you can customize the ingredients. They are more in the Burlington and Hamilton area.

Bitondo's across from the original San Francesco's on Clinton.

BTW, what's the difference between a calzone and a panzerotti besides the spelling?

the Jazzman is right!... Abruzzo's.
you can get baked or fried, & with the tomato or meat sauce on the side, rather than in the middle.... good dippin! & whole wheat is available.
