The last Tucker's I went to was the one at Eglinton and Warden. It was absolutely atrocious. Never going back.

One of the best buffet experiences I've had was at the Ritz-Carleton Kapalua in Maui. The food was fresh and made in very small batches. But the best part was that, being a Ritz, you could order anything you wanted and the chef would whip it up. Didn't even have to be on menu.
i am sure the buffet in maui will help this conversation about buffets in toronto. thanks for sharing.

Speaking of the buffet at racetrack, both Falls Casino and Rama Casino offer very decent buffets.

I remember Town & Country! The one at Woodbine and Steeles? Good times. :)

I like Imperial Buffet, at Warden and Lebovic. Dragon Pearl isn't bad. It has lobster some nights and peking duck every day.

Is Vinnie Zucchini still around? The only one I knew of was at Dufferin and Steeles and it closed ages ago. Frankie's is good, but I find it too greasy (everything is fried, it seems).
Yea they opened a Town and Country up there but it's gone now. I remember the original Town & Country downtown on Simcoe Street next to the old Lord Simcoe hotel. Vinnie Zucchini's did close their restaurant at Dufferin and Steeles and moved to Vaughan Mills! I was there not that long ago.

Hey, if you can post drivel to drive up your post count, so can I.

For AYCE, Korean Grill is a pretty economical and hearty choice. Basically a meat lovers dream. I hit the one at Queen W once in a while.

But if you're looking for unlimited meat, you really can't beat Brasa at the Niagara Hilton or Copacabana at Eglinton just east of Yonge. I love meat, but these places are really just too much.

There are three all you can eat sushi places I go to in Markham... can't recall their names but they're located around Highway 7 (between Kennedy and Warden, on a plaza on the south side) , McCowan and 16th Avenue (North East corner plaza), and one on Kennedy/14th Avenue (South West corner plaza) ... All are good but the one on Kennedy and Warden seemed to be the best.. big menu, portions, and quick service even though they're busy and a fairly large restaurant

I think you have your bearings all screwed up.

The Lord Simcoe was on King at York. The original Town and Country was on Mutual at Gould!!

At Work......
The China Buffet King at Warden & Metropolitan is a great alternative to the Mandarin for a Chinese Buffet.

Jerusalem on Leslie is pretty good for Middle Eastern. I don't like the teared pricing before 7pm prices and after 7pm pricing.

My Big Fat Greek Buffet is always good.

If you travel to La Belle Province you have to check out the Le Buffet Des Continents (Hull, Sherbrooke, Quebec City, Mascouche, Trois Rivieres)

This one is easy, I promise you'll love it. Copacabana on Eglington between Yonge and Avenue rd. You'll die and think you've gone to heaven.

Also, the Manderin is a completely different situation on the weekends. All you can eat crab legs....:D

for quality i always find Mandarin to be tops. Imperial is quite good too/ good variety of main dishes. tuckers and town and country (do any still exist) were worst of the worst. out in niagara area, there are several 5th wheel truck stops. altho salty, the food is very good too. anyway, my opinion.

The Sunday brunch buffet at the Montreal Casino is a very nice spread.
Sunday brunches seem to be allot more popular in Mtl than here.

I recently tried an all you can eat Asian place called 168 Sushi Asian Buffet at Steeles and Dufferin. I was expecting a typical Asian buffet, but was surprised to see that, other than the salad, you order from the table and they bring you the dishes. If you want more, you just order more.
The food is served up as you order, so it doesn't just sit in a tub under heat lamps until chosen.
My wife is a bit of a sushi snob and she enjoyed their sushi very much.
The hot food was all very tasty as well.
Once you get the hang of timing your orders, it's a great way to go for an all you can eat treat.

That's why it's amazing. Doesn't matter how you slice it, you get what you pay for.
Especially sushi places.
I could eat sushi/sashimi 5 times a week, but I don't because it's pricey for good stuff.
Once you eat good stuff consistently, you realize how shit the other stuff is.

Forgot about copacabana....great place..... hot waitresses, great food, live band and dj, brazilian sytle dancing girls (nothing nude) pretty much they keep bringing meat to your table and slice of bits.... all types of meat, seasoned in different ways and what not....hell the grilled pineapple with cinamon is great too

Fairly busy and noisy so if you don't like that try somewhere else
