That inscription has only been part of my signature for 2 or 3 months... I am surprised it took you so long to notice.. but then maybe I shouldn't be surprised

(spoiler warning)

Note that the ex-president was in the preview for next week's show. Don't know if that was a flashback but since we didn't see her actually die they may have just tried to mislead us. That may mean that Richard Hatch (the original Apollo) is actually still alive, too.

Speaking of Apollo, the new "bigger" version was a surprise. Got to love the character development on that show.

what a frakking great episode and I am surprised no one has jumped on the writers for making all sorts of links to present day political events, ie occupation, suicide bombings, establishment of a police force by the occupiers, insurgents etc.... remember the original Star Trek was used by Roddenberry to make all sorts of statements on the political and social climate of the US during the 1960's

and yes fattie Apollo is interesting but do we really need another tv show with fat guy married to hot chick hehehhe, speaking of hot is it just me or is Starbuck with longer hair and more homicidal that just much hotter?

BTW, the original Star Trek is being rebroadcast with new revamped special effects. I hope no one is missing those as it makes the shows 50 times better now!! This week it's "The City on the Edge of Forever". "I Mudd" and "Arena" are coming up next week and the week after that.

Richard Hatch's character in the new Battlestar Galactica is "Tom Zarek". I'm watching the DVD releases myself in 2.5. I'll wait for 3.0 as I can't stand the commercials interruptions on such a good show (shoulder pat). We need more nude shots, I mean actual pussy hairs or butt crack, of Grace Park (the Asian cylon). It is cable TV and the FCC has no jurisdiction for it in the US. So let's see 'dem nude shots!

Gyaos Baltar (President of Caprica).

president of the colonies, not just caprica
and completely spelled wrong
My name was before the "new" Battlestar Galactica was even a concept. So completely spelt right, it's the other way 'round. "Gaius" is not correct, but being used. I represent Caprica and each colony has their own VP. Sorry, the old bag is still seeing snakes. :p

Well I'm a big fan of the show but that season opener was a little boring...I mean, it had me wondering what else was on 1/2 hr in....

With that being said you gotta love the sex scenes, pretty randy I should say...and yeah, starbuck is hotter n ever but Boomer, I mean, could she GET any hotter? Man I'd love to hit that....

I watched with several friends, including one person that had not seen season 1 or 2 and had no idea what the show was about. Everyone caught the irony of rooting for the humans, when they are clearly the "Iraq" part of what is going on in the world at the moment.

The show generated a heated discussion of just what the US is doing in the Middle East.

Clearly a "morality" play for modern times.

science fiction has always been used for a long time for commentary on modern times, original Star Trek, Mad Max during the energy crisis of the 70's, Blade Runner etc, whats an interesting point is the dissention between the Cylons ya would think they would agree on a course of action, but apparently not, wait till Six comes back oh she is gonna be pissed hehehe :)
