Went to a few of my shoreline honey holes yesterday, one nice largemouth about 3 pounds, couple of smaller ones, no smallmouth but I think there were a couple of strikes. One pike, about 2 foot long, couple of sunfish. Anyone else get lucky?

Been out of thlocsl fishing scene too long, and have dipped a line in fish waters a lot lately. I'm actually looking for some new rod reel and tackle in the near. After Red Devil and Mips spinners, I'm kind of lost with new bait rigs.

There are some nice bass at the island, I was watching one of these fishing shows and they caught them around the club. Lots of large carp and pike.
if you want good spots in the GTA for bass try Ontario place early morning. Leslie street spit, lots of good ponds off Lake Ontario. The Islands are good for pike and bass. My pick would be around Ontario place, walk and cast, lots of good places and hide outs.
Last year on a fishing trip, I caught a 3.5 pound bass in Rice Lake. I'll be going with some buddies on another fishing trip in a couple of weeks.
As the other guys have pointed out, the islands are a great spot for both pike and bass, all around the shore including the inlets and lagoons. The bottom of Spadina is another good spot, the area offshore is being managed as a pike spawning area, and while I haven't done any fishing there myself I've seen some good stuff hauled out of there. The Leslie spit is good too, and I've always wondered about that weedbed at the west side of the base of it, where the channel comes out of the old generating plant on Unwin Avenue.
