This summer I moved from a 2small bedroom condo to a bigger 4 bedroom home. I didn't have the furniture to fill it until one day I walked into a nice shop and struck up a conversation with the sales manager, he asked what I did for work and passed my card. By the time I got home I had an email from the owner who offered to barter so I could decorate my house. The next weekend I had $14.000 in furniture delivered without it costing me a penny, the owner has now become a friend and is enjoying shagging the ladies at cupids and I am enjoying shagging on the furniture he had delivered.

If there happens to be a dentist or general contractor or landscape designer who is looking to barter please feel free to email me at jillian@cupidsescorts.ca

Miss Maya Blue promised to create a "barter" forum but never followed through. Anyway, what can I get for a pair of Maple Leaf tickets?

An exchange of services for pizza is a common motif in porn, but less common in real life.

I think bartering is legitimate, but if I post that I have a week at my cottage available in exchange for 2 hours of sex I'll get responses from women who wouldn't be my first choices.

If I approach my favourite girl with the same offer I risk that I'll offend her. Maybe that's not really a risk reading Cupid's and Miss Maya's responses?

It sounds easier to rent my cottage out and use the money to see someone, there's a wider circle of potential renters.

2 questions: 1. what does your business card actually say? 2. you need legal advice?

How about ESL tutoring? Conversation practise? Any takers?
The MPAs who could make good use of ESL schooling are mostly Asian MPAs.
The Asian MPAs I got to know were pretty frugal and would only attend free
immigrant ESL classes but not those offered by community colleges which cost
money. Would be surprised if any of them would give up earning in exchange for
private lessons.

My business card says Jillian Hollander "Head Mistress" of Cupid's Escorts with our web address, etc. and I am currentlly retained with another lawyer should I ever be in need of one.

Could some of the SPs and clients that have bartered previously give examples of past tranactions? What would be considered an acceptable an equitable transaction? Would a SP waive the usual $300 hourly fee in exchange for a $220 car repair?
It's not unlike other offers of X for Y. Once I had an electronics device (no, not that kind). Said device had a street value of Y (but I got my hands on it for X). One of my fav SPs was looking for the same device. She valued it at its market value, since she couldn't get it for less. However, as in any negotiation there had to be a motivation for her to barter with me rather than pay retail. So we agreed on a trade of services (market value of Y - N) in lieu of cash in an amount somewhere between what I paid and what it was worth on the street. So I paid less than Y for services valued at Y, and she paid less than Y for a device valued at Y. Sorry, too mucy Big Bang Theory this weekend.

Saved me the hassle of trying to sell it, got her what she needed, and by god I had a couple of great hours of fun!

Of course I don't think this would work as well with a new client/SP relationship; likely need a foundation upon which to make the suggestion. That's what she said.

You can barter with any SP. Go ahead and try! Let's say you have a pack of gum, and you want to trade it for sex. Take your pack of gum to see your local SP, bring along a $160 gift (just because it's such a nice gift) and she will be happy to trade sex for your pack of gum.

Come fix my stupid toilet that runs non stop and I'll give u a half hour ;) LOL
You have already determined that the time it takes to repair your running toilet is worth half an hour of your time. What it it takes longer? What if he has to go out for parts? A good barter is where both people are happy when all is said and done.

So interesting question, then - if you got $14k worth of furniture without it costing you a penny, does that mean that they worked for free so you could get free furtiture?

A good barter site or a good barter opportunity is when you offer (-X-) and ask what can you offer me in exchange. The barter only works if the deal is acceptable to both parties.

On a sidebar story to bartering. An old guy that I knew years ago told me about this drinking establishment in Toronto during WWII. It was for officers in the military and members of other federal organizations were allowed to drink at the bar and buy cigarettes and booze to take away. All the purchases were tax free and there was no profit made of the sale of booze and tobacco products because it was for military personnel. Many of the people allowed entry into this place bought booze and ciggys to barter with working girls. These items were in great demand due to shortages during the war. If the girls did not consume the products themselves the items could be used to barter at the grocery store for other items in short supply like milk, eggs and veggies. I do not know if this drinking establishment for military people was there before the war, but it as there during WWII and it lasted up to the 80s when the old guy told me this story. It may still be there, offering duty and tax free booze and ciggys.

so when 2 people are making a trade, the trade has to be acceptable to both parties ? how fancy an idea is that, who would have thunk that is how bartering worked.
