Are the guys not interested anymore, or do they not know about the return of the buffet? Let them advertise - a poster on the wall at Alpha (compensated for) would be great.

Today was chicken and rice, quite tasty.
I went there for the dances, not the food. No strippers, no interest. Besides, the Market is depressing now, every time I go there I can't wait to get out.

I SO, SUPER AGREE with you on this!!!!

I can still fully remember prior to covid, the market area was really bustling. I'd go there hanging out with friends, evcen going clubbing, bar hopping. Some of my dates were there, we'd hang out and walk the entire area and even Major's Hill park. Barefax from 2010 to 2019 was part of what made hanging out in downtown amazing.

Oh well, .....anyways......life goes on buddy.

The lunchtime dancers were late to the stage, I got there at 12:30, and the first dancer didnt start until 1pm. I left my table and went to sit at the stage to better enjoy the view (good ole "pervert's row"). After the dance, she came right over to me to pointedly let me know that if I wasnt going to take a girl upstairs, but still sit at the stage, then I was expected to tip the dancer.

I disagree. AITA?

She doesn't know if you were planning on taking a girl upstairs, maybe you were, just not her. Unless it's a weird set up, I'd guess there are many more seats on perverts row than coupld possibly take 1 girl upstairs

Also used to Hobby in Hamilton, nobody ever tipped, and they rarely if ever went in back. One club a long long long time ago, people would go on stage with money and the girl would do something, sadly I forget what. But that's on stage not in back.

Seems she is the hole of A

They did that in the Fax back when. A guy would fold a $5 bill and go lie on the stage with, usually, the money gripped between his teeth. The dancer would come over and do all kinds of grinding and then collect the money.

Yeah that sounds right. Only seen it in one club. So that stripper is just being a vagina.

most of the smart girls would use those $5 7 $10 stage tips as marketing for the potential of what would happen in champagne room ... hillarious shit could happen on stage for small tips... at least in some of the other clubs... never been a huge Barfax customer.

Maybe leave a tip if you feel inclined—perhaps place a $5 or $10 in your mouth or somewhere else for a fun or humorous public display. It could also serve as a playful way to grab the attention of a dancer you're trying to connect with.

But honestly, I’d say the girl likely had no customers and was trying to guilt you into giving her money.

The sense of entitlement that individual has would guarantee that I WOULDN'T take her to the CR.
This is the first time hearing about this, in any club I have been to in Canada and some other countries.

Definitely you're not the asshole.

But tipping, at least $10 or whatever, when sitting at the stage seats is the custom, no?

Pre-Covid, which was the last time girls danced on stage, for the 20 years I went there, it was never the custom. Think about it, up to 10 guys can sit at the stage, are they all expected to tip for the "privilege"?

Unless, you're the only dude sitting at the stage, suddenly you are VIP and expected to act like one, no? On a serious note, back in the day, with 10 guys sitting upfront, there's the occasional dude that goes on stage with a fiver in his mouth. It was not frequent then, and certainly not a desideratum.

Never mind that you could just sit back 5 feet for free which is better if you are checking the girls walking about for lap dances.

Never heard that was the custom. And I frequented clubs many days and nights.

Tipping at the stage is common in many clubs in the U.S. (its expected of you are sitting by the stage).
I have rarely seen it at clubs in Ottawa or Toronto, but at clubs like Fanny's in North Bay and The Coulson in Sudbury, there is usually a parade of guys ( and girls ) to lay on the stage with paper bills in their teeth. This activity often results in the innocent victim being whipped with their own belt..

in my experience the money is to lay back on the stage and kinda be incorporated into the show.. not to sit at the perverts row. I know this used to be the case at the Silver Dollar, and the morphing name club on bank... at least that was the way it was when it was called the "Tease" I never liked being whipped by my belt... but a few girls would give a pleasent surprise when they had your pants undone.
