I haven't been back in Ottawa since the spring and, based on what some have written about the current state of the town's CR's, I almost decided to forgo a visit to Barb's while in town this week. Happily, I changed my mind and was pleased with some of the very hot talent they were showcasing Thursday night. I got in several private dances and, while not the most liberal I've ever enjoyed in a club, they were by no means extra restrictive either. I left there very happy and horny.

I was especially smitten by a petite blonde from Montreal who goes by Katia. She said she is at Barbs this week for the first time though she's danced at Bare Fax before. She has a smoking hot little body and a wonderful smile. And, when she realized I'd given her a little extra after her private dances, she returned to my table to offer me a very long extra dance. Whether it was by personal choice or compliance to club rules, I was impressed, especially given the frequent reports from guys who've been shorted on dances in Ottawa clubs.

I understand from the ladies that they supposedly will be putting some curtains in at Barb's ... they cant extend to the top of the booths dues to the new rules, but they should make things feel a bit less open. It looks worse coming in and out than it does when you're seated in a booth snuggling with a friend.

During my last visit last week, mostly the ladies were complaining that they had the CR, the ladies locker room, and the main floor all torn up at once rather than finishing one area and moving on the the next. I was trying to explain the concept of subcontractors, but that went in one ear and out the other. Also there is some concern that customers are going to track dirt and snow in on the new floor tile and that going to get all over the ladies shoes, or worse, some of that is going to get on the stage and someone is going to get hurt. All in all, though, I think the ladies like the changes.

I'm wondering if all the changes to the CR have been done. I have a few clients coming in for the annual meeting and in the past we have had very good times in Barb's for lunch and late evening "meetings".

Has anyone been there recently for a scouting report ?

Otherwise, we will have to move our meeting to the Quebec side (Pigale's, Taboo) but the clients prefer Barb's because its closer to their hotel and they don't need to explain the taxi fares on their expense claims LOL

Craziest place I seen in the last 15 years was in Toronto at the Zanzibar! crazy privates! Back 20 years ago in calgary HJs were offered by dancers for $50 in back booths... great! Now, you throw loonies at their bearded clams and get posters that you throw away so the missus doesnt find out.

Yeah, Marcus I remembered when going to a Calgary SC was actually fun. You have a better chance a getting a lap dance at Cowboys and if you get you filly nice and drunk, some take out LOL

Hard to believe with all the money out there that they couldn't keep their edge. Anyway, Ottawa is not as good as Montreal but it's not a too bad. My clients who are mainly from the States, think they have died and gone to heaven when they come up here ... even with the exchange rate.

So far no feedback about Barb's, guess we are just going to have to find out what happened to their CR's ourselves. Wish us luck !!

As per my earlier post I was last there less than 2 weeks ago. The booth walls have been rebuilt, now fresh unpainted plywood for that erotic construction site look, and the partitions are now considerably shorter. But once you're in the booth and seated/slouching you're pretty unaware of anyone else around. And, if you do look over, you'll mostly see the top halves of the other dancers, so sort of like a smorgasbord. There were a lot of fine dancers on hand and the mileage was not bad. Based on my experience, I think your meeting could be pretty productive at Barb's.

Was at Barb's Tuesday night after a long time. Definitely one of the better clubs. Was trying to get a hold of a cute blond by the name of Leah but she was always busy. Ended up with a Haitian girl in the champagne room. Mileage was OK but after the 3rd dance told me that I had had four. At that point I said thanks, paid her and left. Why do they even pull that stunt.

Saw the recent posts on Pigale and Taboo and was wondering whether they ever finished the renovations at Barb's? Or does it still look like a construction site in the CR (albeit with some awfully cute "construction workers")?

BTW Cool Cucumber, suggestions include Lea (mentioned in the last post), Maude, Divine (a real nice kid) and Kelly. I've gotten nice dances from all of them. Lea is mentioned a lot because she is a particularly sensuous dancer and a real professional at what she does (I mean that in a good way), but dont expect extras. Renos seem to be complete: no curtain in the CR, booths are rather wide open, and close to each other, especially when the place is packed.
Maude has not been seen in a while. Isn't she flying to the Southern U.S.A. every winter?
Divine remains the same, quite liked by many.
