G L, I'm asian Cdn and I say you should stick with areas that the Japanese go to like Rainbow II in Nana plaza. Go early, like around 8:00 pm, sit down and have a few drinks. If you like a girl, pay for drink and see her up close. Any waitress could find mamasan to bar fine a girl. Best looking girls are usually taken quick. Aggressive good looking girls will come back after a short-term to be bar fined again.

The Thermae is great for after hours. Make sure you buy a beer from the house. The girls here don't want to dance at clubs and are independents. Many good looking girls do this coz they have kids to support.

I'm not a fan of Soi Cowboy anymore. Different police district and sometimes they tighten up about nudity.

Beer Garden, Sukhumvit Soi 7 is great for German food. Sit by the washroom to view the ladies coming in and out. If you see anyone that you like, just buy her a drink. Again, mostly independents.

Thaniya Plaza is beside Patpong. Very discreet Japanese district with very lovely ladies. Not a bar setting. You'll see Japanese styled Kareoke. Turkish massage is a must try. To many places to mention. I like Victoria's Secrets.

Bring your (unlocked!!!) mobile (GSM only!!!) and get a SIM card at any mall shop, 7-11 or Family Mart. Or just buy a cheap mobile there (at MBK, Fortune Town or wherever). Mobiles rule in Thailand.

ETA: Whoops, forgot to say the mobile must be quad band. I forgot what frequencies are used in Asia. Easier thing to do is buy one there for, oh, 1000 to 1500 baht.

lol! G_L, after you've gone once or twice, you'll understand how easy it is The only reason I recommend to stay around the Japanese crowd is coz the best looking girls are easier to find. Doesn't sound like you're there very long so I tried to give you some breadth of my personal experiences.

I recommend the Futura hotel, Sukhumvit soi 5. Traditional Thai massage parlor attached. 2 hr deep tissue oil massage are to die for. Also, there's a great supermarket downstairs. My Japanese friends lead me to this one a few years ago. It's a business class hotel and no hassles with taking ladies back. It's a short walk from Nana Plaza.

Lastly, don't be afraid to chat with older Europeans or Brits. Did a lot of learning from buying beers for people.

Oh, the cell phone thing. I like to hand out my temporary rented cellphone # if I have a connection with a beautiful Thai girl. You would be surprised how quickly you receive a text message back from young Thai ladies if they are interested. Again, ymmv. I find there are Thai beauties that strictly look for farangs and there are Thai ladies that look for Japanese or Chinese. Foreign asian men are attractive potential husbands.

Bkk is definitely my favorite travel destination in the world. Great for golf too! Upscale courses ... you have to go early to pick the best looking female caddies. Usually U of Bkk students. Well that's another story lol!!!

Ah yes,the 24 hr Foodland with its Took Lae Dee Restaurant....great place to eat. Phat Thai for $ 2.25 CAD....can't beat it. Good place to get info from expats too....

I've been to Thailand now 8 times and am going back again in January. I always stay at the JW Marriott in Bangkok. It's right across from Nana Plaza and it's very SP friendly... someone made a comment that it wasn’t.... however I've had even 3 girls at the same time in my room and it's never been a problem. The hotel will even allow in ladyboys too if you're into that.

On one of my trips since I was arriving late at 2am I per booked a girl to arrive at the Marriott ... she was one of the girls working at the famous Eden club. I just got to my room and the phone rang... it was the Marriott's front desk asking me if it was ok to send up a lady "Cookie from the Eden Club" now talk about service!

Pattaya is another place... about a 90 minute drive outside of Bangkok that you have to spend some time in too... its WILD there and it's on the beach. The beach is nothing like patong in phuket but it's still nice enough... but who cares when you're there to fuck everything that moves! I also stay at the Marriott in Pattaya...

Holy crap, the women in that Q Bar. Good grief I simply did not realize that's how hot Thai women are. I will definitely go. Maybe for Christmas this year.

What's the typical cost to take one of those girls home for a night (specifically from the Q Bar?) Does a guy have to spend much time in there (it looks like an annoyingly loud/disco place), or can he get in, have a drink, pick a girl and leave.

Good news is that the girls are that hot and that many at that particular bar, (though not all), will be on the game. Christmas, or any time till late March is high season, and the prices will be higher.

Bad news...they tend to have a very inflated opinion of themselves. When I was there in 2006, girls were asking and getting a crazy 5000 bhat, (about $150.00). That's ridiculous, and it was pissing me off that so many guys were paying it. Then again, I understand many are new to Bangkok, have a limited time, and think with the little head.

Q Bar is ground zero for this level of hotness in Thai girls, but similar quality can be found elsewhere, (in the bars and just around town). It really all depends on a bunch of factors. How much do you want to spend? How much time do you have to learn the ropes? How old/young are you..and how smooth with the ladies? Because at the Q, it's not unheard of for a good looking young farang to just walk out with a girl who's just looking for some fun.

I'd suggest you go in not expecting much success. Go for the sights, have a drink, have fun, and try your luck. If you strike out, easy girls are just a block away, and if you're persistent, you can find one that's as hot at the bars, though you'll have to work for it.
