Anything less would be reckless, ignorant and suicidal. We must abandon the misguided belief that we are always right while others are wrong, or that we can remain independent in a world that has moved beyond the Cold War mentality.

The Global South, led by China and the BRICS, will command a larger market, greater resources, and reduce our risk exposure. This is the path that Africa, Asia, and South America are already following—we cannot afford to lag behind.
