These robberies and/or assaults happen all the time, maybe daily in the GTA. Could be under the new law this girl felt safe to call the police, and we now see it in the news. I'm not generally happy with the new law, but I do like the part that makes it so the girls are not seen as criminals.

I doubt it. It would be interesting to know how many backpagers actually know about c36. In any case filing a report about being mugged or assaulted has nothing to do with c36. That provision is there for anyone. Secondly C36 is totally useless at preventing anything, and it infringes on your right to free speech, freedom of expression, freedom of association and sec 7 and 15(1).

incarceration is not the answer - filling the lack/void in reasoning that lead to the problem is one of many solutions.
