Two weeks ago today, I logged onto Terb, to discover that my IP address had been banned, and I could not access the site! I was shocked, as I thought my posts were inoffensive in the extreme. I emailed Fred, and got no reply. That was the worst part, not knowing what my crime was (that and the fact that nobody noticed that I was gone, though that was not a real surprise).
Finally, with a little help from a well known poster, I was able to get in contact with Fred, and find out what the problem was. It turns out that I share an ISP, and IP address, with a problem poster, so my banning was a side-effect of his banning. I (we?) are back for now, but if the bad poster reappears, I get banned again. Has anyone had this happen to them? I will have to contact my ISP and see if I can get a different IP address or something.
