I'm in Oakville. I've seen (and heard!) the Lanc on many occasions. It makes the hair on my neck stand up every time!

The CWH also has a B-25 Mitchell.

Play golf on a weekend at Willow Valley (on the other side of the Hamilton Airport) and you will see most of the CQH flying inventory up in the air.

Earlier in the day I saw what I thought were 2 Spitfires - they were a little far but still pretty distinctive. I guess they were heading to Hamilton for this:

If anyone is out this way this weekend, keep you eyes on the skies.
This weekend is the airshow at Sodom Road in Niagara Falls, by the Russell Group. Spitfire, Hurricane, Stuka, Me109 plus whatever else flies in. Usually pretty cool, probably the Lancaster will show again. Seen it 2 years ago, most cool.

One of the coolest things I ever saw at an airshow was the P51D mustang flying wingman for an CF18 hornet......

As for making the hairs stand up: imagine if you were an older german citizen who lived through WWII. Imagine the memories that would bring back?

I'm an old warplane/nostalgia buff from since I was a kid but after seeing the D-Day museum in New Orleans and thinking back, should we really be celebrating machines whose sole purpose is to kill? (even in a defensive role they are still designed to kill.....)

Several years ago at the Ottawa airshow a Tiger Moth was doing a fly-by and was joined by a F117. At the time the F117 was a rare site and seeing the two of them in the same airspace was amazing.
