Apparently, B.C. elected a Liberal minority government with the Greens holding the balance of power. Some seats will be subject to a recount.

What does this mean for pipelines and trade with the U.S.?

Assuming the seat count remains the same after recounts, absentee ballots, etc., the NDP could theoretically form a government with a formal coalition or informal agreement with the Greens.

Yes, a real possibility. Stranger things have happened in politics (e.g. Alberta went NDP).

Question: What are the chances Saskatchewan and Manitoba could go NDP again?

That is now what has happened, the Greens (3) have agreed to support a NDP (41) minority government.

This is going to be good. NDP in BC that will try and totally shut down entire oil and gas industry in their province and an NDP government in Alberta trying desperately to grow and expand the same industry. Let the fireworks begin.

Apparently, the tree huggers can't legally kill Trans Mountain Pipeline but they might be able to legally delay it by keep asking for more "studies".

This means keystone XL is even more important to Canada (except B.C.). Thank you President Trump for approving.

Why are so many parts of Canada trying to commit economic suicide?

At least this will tamp down the Vancouver housing market.

The alt right nutcases are water under the bridge in BC. Can you blame that Province that has a huge softwood lumber and dairy industry that Trumpty Dumpty wants to destroy.
I don't understand why President Trump is supporting Oregon in the soft lumber dispute. Oregon didn't vote for him and probably don't like him.

Since he got less than half the votes in what was essentially a two-candidate contest, if he wants to go out a winner — or Heaven forfend! run again — he's gotta pick up a lot more support than he's earned so far. And the only place to get it from is folks who don't like him.

It is the One Great Truth About Politics: You gotta do and say what it takes to make your plan possible, whether you want to or not.
