This was posted on the bears official website. Just how any Bears fan could trash talk about playing these Niners at the Stick is unconscienable. It seems its been a while since they have beat us at home. The last time was the Bears superbowl 1985 team. It has been a while.
"The Bears have now lost eight straight road games and 13 of 15 overall since starting last season 2-0. … The Bears have dropped six straight games in San Francisco, with their last victory coming in the 1985 Super Bowl season. Chicago’s previous six road losses to the 49ers came by scores of 41-0, 26-0, 52-14, 44-15 and 17-0. … The Bears haven’t won a season opener on the road since defeating New York Giants in 1970."
My hats off to the Bills. They look like the real deal. I like Bledsoe. Had him as my fantasy starter on one of my teams last year. Unfortunately he choked throwing way too many interceptions in the late part of the season. Best of luck to him this year. Billick will need to explain why it is that they let go of Milloy. The Bills defense is now a quite solid unit.
I screwed up my fantasy opener this week. I started Trent Green over Garcia thinking that matchup would be a push. I even had Feidler and put Harrington on waivers thinking that with Stewart gone as his primary running threat that the passing game would see all kinds of pressure. Harrington to Charles Rogers is something to be reckoned with for years to come. I had and placed Tai Streets on waiver, picked up Chris Chambers and benched him in favor of starting T.O., Marshall Faulk and Derrick Mason. Had I played Garcia, TO and Chambers..it would have been all over. Ricky Williams and Marshall Faulk didn't show up this week. Hard to bench these guys any week though. Needless to say Garcia will be starting next week.
